GET TO KNOW ME
DESIGN STUDIES
I studied Fashion and Textile Design with a concentration in Textile Design at NC State University's College of Textiles. During my studies at NC State, I developed skills in pattern techniques, surface design, yarn design and development, sewing, and most importantly fabric construction. I spent my senior year as a technical assistant in the Knitting Lab, where I set up machines based on fabric construction specifications, set yarns up on the creel, and developed pattern and techniques on the machines based on industry and student projects and needs.

TEXTILE EXPERIENCE
I have been in the textile industry for over 9 years, starting as an intern at Springs Creative Products Group, working on pattern in repeat and cleaning up art for crafts fabrics.
Following graduation, I worked at Creative Ticking, where I focused on circular knits for mattress ticking. In this position, I worked on-site with the knitting machines, ensuring the translation of digital design to fabric was accurate and innovative.

I then moved to ELFA International, where I developed a more broad application of my design skills, creating not only circular knits, but also patterns for woven fabrics and digitally printed circular knits and warp knits.

My current position at Standard Fiber has expanded my skillset immensely. I develop fabrics across multiple channels and industries, including mattress, fashion bedding, pet, hospitality, and utility bedding. I have taken on many new challenges and have confidence in my ability to develop and execute new products.
HISTORY OF ART
Aside from textile design, I find outlet in immersing myself into many different art forms. I studied watercolor painting in Prague, Cz., and dabble in acrylic painting, sketching and digital illustrating. I've partnered with my best friend in a successful Etsy shop featuring acrylic pour paintings, which were featured in three different art showcases around Charlotte, NC.
